Prodigy 2.0

lpadjust

The Prodigy 2.0 is an upgrade of Leggett & Platt's top adjustable bed model the Prodigy. Not surprisingly, most of the features are shared. The changes are significant, adding to the functioning of this base for the comfort and convenience of the users.

The remotes are both wireless with several programmable positions, one touch for Flat, and a built-in clock. The remote for the new model introduces Capacitive-touch control. The buttons do not have to be pressed. Contact alone is enough to activate them.

A key feature of both Prodigy adjustable bed models is the sleep timer. This is not just a noisy buzzer or ringing, but more like a clock radio. The timer can be set to activate sounds, lights, radio/TV/music, or the massage. It can even change the position of the bed, putting it into the sleeping mode at nod-off time and elevating to a sitting position at get-up time.

The controls of both models are Bluetooth capable, and apps for Android and Apple smart phones and tablets are downloadable.

Both the Prodigy and the Prodigy 2.0 have Whisper Quiet DC motors. The 600-lb. lifting capacity of the earlier model has been increased to 700 lbs. in the 2.0.

Both models have a full range of positions. To these the Prodigy 2.0 adds the Pillow-Tilt feature. The upper body section of the deck has an adjustable head tile. This can be raised to provide more support for the head in a sitting position. Since this is not fully upright, the tilted head pillow helps the user to look straight ahead without strain.

Both Prodigy models have a dual full-body wave massage. The intensity and speed are variable. Two users can have separate massages.

The Prodigy 2.0 adds USB ports for using and charging electronic devices. A USB hub on each side of the bed has 4 ports, allowing 8 devices to be plugged in at the same time.

Instead of unsightly retainer bars, the Prodigy 2.0 has MicroHook retention. This keeps the mattress in place when the deck of the bed is in motion. Sheets are easier to change than with the bars.

Under-the-bed lighting on the Prodigy 2.0 illuminates the floor for when a sleeper gets up during the night. This is not only a convenience, but a safety feature. This light can be controlled by the sleep timer.

The height of the Prodigy 2.0 is selectable. The legs are 2½" in diameter, and can be adjusted from 6" to 10" in height.

The Prodigy 2.0 is already available through several retailers, including Amazon. It is covered by a graduated 1-3-25 Leggett & Platt limited manufacturers warranty.
