Zedbed Zed-Flex & Zed-Up
Zed-Flex and
Zed-Up are two of the new
adjustable bed models introduced by
Zedbed in 2014. They are alike in all their features but one.
Zed-Up elevates only the back/head section, while
Zed-Flex articulates both the head/back and the legs, a distinction reflected in the names of these models.
The
Zed-Up and the
Zed-Flex are powered by very quiet US-made
Whisper Quiet motors using German Technology. These motors have a lifting capacity of up to 900 lbs. The motors are housed in sturdy metal casings.
The motors of
Zed-Flex and
Zed-Up adjustable bases are controlled with wireless remotes. These beds can be adjusted to a wide range of positions (head in
Zed-Up, head and feet in
Zed-Flex) for the needs of the user, and to accommodate several in-bed activities. Adjustable beds are now used not only for sleeping or therapy, but also for writing, reading, TV, laptop use, etc.
The
Zed-Flex and
Zed-Up are rather simple, without premium features such as massage, wi-fi/bluetooth, accessory outlets, and such. One important feature they do have is lowering the bed to the flat position in case of a power outage.
These 9" high adjustable bases are designed to be able to work with any standard
foundation, such as
platforms, built-in beds, metal frames, etc. Zed-Up and Zed-Flex are available is several sizes: ½ Queen (30" x 80"), Twin, Twin XL, Full, Full XL, Queen, King. Split Queen uses two ½ Queen, and Split King two Twin XL bases.
The
Zed-Flex Adjustable Base and the
Zed-Up Adjustable Base come with a 20-year warranty from
Zedbed. The frame and mechanism is covered for 20 years, the motors for 5 years, electronis and controls for 2 years.
