Corsicana Bedding, Inc.

Corsicana Bedding, Inc. (CBI) began in 1971 as Tipton Manufacturing, Inc. in Corsicana, Texas, a furniture producer for mobile homes. The company name was changed to reflect its focus on mattresses and other bedding products. Its Corsicana manufacturing plant is over 144,000 square feet, and it has seven other plants in the United States, in Tennesee, North Carolina, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Washington and Pennsylvania. CBI has its own trucking company, Corsicana Bedding Trucking, to service retailers and for factory-direct deliveries. Discouraging consumer pick-up at factories, Corsicana explains, "We deliver through professional trucking and delivery services." Its plants are strategically located to be able to deliver to all of the 48 continental states.

In response to a question on the types of mattresses they make, Corsicana Bedding, Inc. answered: "We offer almost every type of mattress, including: Cool Gel Memory Foam, Pocket Springs, Premium Inner Springs, Memory Foam, Double Sided, and more." On its website, CBI lists 8 mattress lines: Micro Coil, Luxury Hybrid, Pocket Springs, InnerSprings, Memory Foam, Cool Reflections Gel, Medical Division, and Hospitality Sales. The names for these lines are transparent, reflecting the kind of mattress in each line.

Corsicana Bedding mattresses are sold by several retailers across the country, including some national chains. These are low-to-moderately priced products, offering an affordable alternative to higher-priced brands with same or similar features.

Among the coil systems used in innerspring mattresses made by Corsicana Bedding, Inc. are micro-coils, quad coils, pocket coils, and alternate offset coils. Besides home and hotel mattress sizes, CBI also makes RV models. Products in the Medical Division also include "mats, pads, cushions, rails, and extenders."

The Corsicana Bedding, Inc. website seems primarily geared for retailers, with each line's description ending with, "Ready to carry our **** line? Call our Customer Service today . . . or Email Us." Individual models are found at retailers. Some models, such as Bridgton and Promo, are listed by several retailers. Questions about warranties are referred to the retailers.
