| The ultra plush offerings from the Bassett DreamMaker series are very soft yet can still provide a great measure of support. Mattresses this soft are typically well suited for side sleepers and can also accommodate some heavier people in almost any sleep position. Most of the Bassett mattresses which fit into the ultra plush category will use a pillowtop or euro-top layer to achieve a softer initial feel, and some will also incorporate memory foam into the build to help further reduce pressure points and maintain softness. Obviously, when you add advanced features such as pillowtops and memory foam, you will also need to increase the price of the mattress overall as these advanced materials are costly. As you may know, Bassett mattresses are manufactured by Sealy, which means that the innovations found in Sealy premium mattresses will often be found in the Bassett collection. This includes the Motion Control System, which uses individually pocketed coil springs to help reduce pressure points, as well as multiple layers of comfort foam and memory foam to achieve an ultra soft initial feel. In many cases, the pillowtop and/or euro-top options will be memory foam as well. The DreamMaker collection from Bassett is a well designed, yet somewhat pricey, sleep system option. You do get a good 10-year warranty, and your sleep trial period is determined by the retailer. This set would typically include the SureFlex foundation, which was designed on pace with the Motion Control System innerspring of the mattress for the best results in motion isolation and weight distribution. |
