The SleepBetter™ Isotonic® Memory Foam 10-Inch Thick Mattress by Carpenter Co. is priced slightly less than the Isotonic® TheraGel® 10-Inch Thick Mattress. The difference between the two memory foam mattresses is the infusion of micro-encapsulated gel in the TheraGel model.
On the top of the Isotonic Memory Foam Mattress is the cover of knitted microfiber rayon. The rayon micro-fiber wicks moisture away to keep the sleeping surface dry. Evaporating moisure also makes it cooler. This "easy care" cover can be spot cleaned when needed.
The comfort layer of the Isotonic Memory Foam mattress is Isotonic, one of Carpenter Company's six bedding foams. According to the company:
Isotonic® is an open-cell visco-elastic foam that responds to body weight and temperature. Isotonic self-adjusts to the body’s individual contours to reduce pressure on sensitive areas of the body. Isotonic is the ultimate comfort material that reduces tossing and turning, giving your customer the ability to have a more healthful and restorative night’s sleep.
The open-cell structure is part of Carpenter's 5-zone Active Air Technology™ designed to keep the mattres fresh and cool.
Foundations for the Isotonic Memory Foam Mattress include platform beds or frames, slatted frames (such as European wood slats), advanced design box springs (such as Leggett & Platt's SemiFlex), and adjustable beds.
The SleepBetter Isotonic Memory Foam 10-Inch Thick Mattress (IMF) is sold online by Bed Bath & Beyond and shipped in a box. Available sizes are Twin, Full, Queen and King. The IMF is covered by a 10-year manufacturer's warranty.
