| The GS.900 series adjustable air bed from ComfortAire is a near top-line mattress. The GS.900 features edge-to-edge air chambers located in the euro-top comfort layers of the bed. These air chambers are thinner, at only about 3.5 inches, and will transmit your weight into the Omalon base foam. This Omalon base foam is a foam type unique to ComfortAire beds was designed to increase the uniformity of the foam, which would supposedly increase the comfort level. On the GS.900, there appears to be about 3.5 inches of foams above the air chambers, but with the air chambers fully inflated we believe you will still have a plush overall feel. This is due to the lack of foam perimeter around the air cores, allowing them to expand out as you lie down. You should not expect the sides of the euro-top layer to balloon outward, but there will be some level of expansion there. The Omalon core does have the full perimeter surround. This is to improve the edge firmness for seating and roll-off reduction. The WF4200 is the included air controller on the GS.900 from ComfortAire. The WF series controllers, or WhisperFlo, are the quietest offered by ComfortAire, but would require more time to fully inflate the bed from empty. The advanced design of the air chambers should provide a long period of time before a bed would totally deflate with or without use. This means the pump should work less often to maintain the indicated pressure in the air chambers. When you combine these features with the 20 year warranty, the CF.900 seems like a reasonable purchase at the $3550.00 MSRP on the manufacturers website. |
