| In the bedding industry, rarely do you see a full change in the bedding is perceived. The last bedding revolution came with the advent of memory foam some 20 years ago. Now it is time for another revolution – the premium designer series of mattresses. Leading the way, as they often do in the mattress and bed industry, is Serta with the Vera Wang by Serta collection. Serta and Vera Wang have produced what is more than a simply designer-endorsed collection of beds. The end result of the collaboration between the two leaders in their field is a classy, sophisticated mix of style, functionality, comfort, and affordability. The Floral plush bed from the Vera Wang by Serta collection is nothing less than what you would expect from this fusion. You get a zoned free flex spring network featuring double coils throughout the center of the bed, which works in tangent with the zoned support layer in the mattresses comfort foam. You will also notice natural organic cotton in the mattress, as well as a unique floral inspired quilted Sensura cover. Around the support springs, there is a full perimeter foam encasement to give a firmer seating area and reduce roll off. The foam encasement also helps contain and reduce transferred motion. All in all, the Floral plush bed is a good design and is constructed with to quality material. There are other innovations featured elsewhere in the Vera Wang by Serta collection, but the Flroal seems to be a great compromise between innovation and affordability. Coming in at about $1300 for a queen set (including the StabL foundation), you will be hard pressed to find another designer series premium mattress for this cost. Although this is generally not inexpensive enough to consider for a guest room, the real question should be would you really want to waste what this bed set has to offer by putting it in a limited use room? |
