Zedbed Z-Pedic & Z-Motion

The Z-Pedic and Z-Motion are twin models of Zedbed Adjustable Bases. The descriptions of these 10" high adjustable beds are identical except for one thing—Z-Motion has the Wall-Hugger feature. They are available in sizes: 30 x 80 (½ Queen), Twin, Twin XL, Double, Queen. Split Queen and Split King are also available by using two ½ Queen and two Twin XL beds respectively.

Z-Pedic and Z-Motion adjustable bases offer a choice of remotes: plug-in or wireless. The plug-in has the advantages of always staying 1) by the bed (not ending up in another room) and 2) by your side of the bed (especially with two sleepers). The wireless remote uses RF technology and has the advantage of not having a cord to deal with. These remotes can select a great number of positions for the legs and the back.

Zedbed calls the US-built motors "ultrasilent." they have a lifting capacity of up to 900 pounds. The motor housings are made of sturdy metal for long life.

The articulated frames of the Z-Pedic and the Z-Motion are capable of a large number of combinations of head and foot elevations. While the Z-Motion can be used with several kinds of bed frames or foundations, including platforms, built-in beds, and metal frames, the Z-Pedic requires use of the Z-Pedic Foundation.

The Wall-Hugging feature of the Z-Motion keeps the nightstand within reach when the back/head is elevated. The absence of this feature on the Z-Pedic makes it suitable for split-top mattresses. A split-top model is one mattress with the back/head portion split. This allows sleepers to adjust the elevation of their heads individually without having two separate mattresses. One advantage of this is accommodating breathing needs. Several of Zedbed's specialty (non-coil) mattresses are available in Queen and King split-top sizes, including memory foam and latex models.
