The Streamline adjustable bed by Customatic Adjustable Bedz is characterized by its flared foam edge all around the deck. The deck itself has five panels (segments), one each for the legs, thighs, hips, back and head. The legs and rails are exposed, no outer box, so unlike in-deck bases such as the Instyle/NOVA, this model can be placed in a traditional bed frame, in essence converting the bed to an adjustable one. But for those who use this base alone, it comes with brackets for attaching a headboard.
Like Instyle/NOVA, Streamline can be customized and personalized by the user, though Streamline's wired analog remote is configured differently from the higher model's wireless handset. Streamline does not have a massage feature, so all the buttons are for elevations and the under-bed LED night light. It has three toggles for raising and lowering the head only, head and foot, and foot only. This facilitates fine-tuning your position by raising head and foot, then adjusting the head and/or foot individually. However, a position cannot be saved, and there are no preset positions.
Among the safety features in the Streamline is gravity lowering of the bed. Also, the steel legs are placed for stability and balance. And the LED light under the bed helps users to navigate to and from the bed in the dark. The Streamline is ETL certified for testing and meeting safety standards for electrical equipment.
The wired remote handset and lack of a massage make this adjustable bed more affordable than more heavily featured models. The features it does have are specifically designed for optimized support to promote good spinal posture, blood circulation and breathing, factors that contribute to restful sleep. However, the safety precautions refer to "the (optional) vibrating feature," which suggests that there may be a massage option. So ask your retailer about this.
The brochure for the Streamline names restictions on the lift motors as to time of continuous operation (no more than 3 min. in a 30 min. perios), as well as weight limits (575# for Twin, Twin XL, and one side each of split sizes, and 600# for Full, Full XL and Queen).
The Streamline is covered by Customatic's 20-year limited warranty. The first year has full coverage, while limitations and prorating apply to the last 19 years.
