The Ergomatic 5000 is an adjustable bed sold by Christeli. It is visibly distinct from the other two Christeli models. First of all, it is a sectional style of adjustable bed with five smaller decks. The Ergomatic 5000 has multiple ways of articulating to better mimic the contours of the body.
The head deck can be tilted further forward to support the head when the user is sitting up. The leg and foot decks can be raised to a Zero G position, or lowered to a Lounge position. The combination of postitions is much greater than in the Ergomatic 4000 and Ergomatic 1000.
Several benefits are claimed for the Ergomatic 5000. A few of them are improvements in circulation and breathing, relief of back strain and arthritis, help with asthma, hiatal hernias, and varicose veins.
Besides the head and foot positions, features of the Ergomatic 5000 include:
*Wallhugger - This keeps the user within reach of the nightstand or side table.
*Massage - This dual full-body massage has programmed features, including upper or lower body only, level of intensity, etc.
*Wireless remote - Backlit, controls of the positions and the massage, flat and Zero-G positions, and under-bed light.
*Under-bed light - This LED light can be lit at night for safely moving around in the night when the sleeper has to get up for any reason.
The Egomatic 5000 comes with casters. Headboard brackets are available without extra purchase. The top of the deck in the flat position is 15¾" from the floor.
Any Christeli memory foam mattress will work with the Ergomatic 5000, as well as may other manufacturers' mattresses, for example those of Tempur-Pedic.
Christeli has a 20-year warranty on all their adjustable beds, including the Ergomatic 5000.
