Leggett & Platt S-Cape
Performance Adjustable Base

The S-Cape Performance Adjustable Base in the new Leggett & Platt collection of Performance Model Adjustable Bases is an upgrade of the earlier S-Cape Adjustable Base, which is now in the Classic Models Collection of older adjustable bed designs. The S-Cape Performance has all the features of the S-Cape Plus Performance except the under-bed lighting. And there are a few notable differences from the S-Cape Classic.

Both S-Cape models share the heavy-duty articulated platform base, a full-body dual wave massage, the one-touch Flat button, locking dual-wheel casters with height options, and Wallhugger engineering.

The Classic has variable height options in the legs, a feature not noted in L&P's descriptions of the Performance model. For the latter, 4" legs with casters are listed.

The S-Cape Classic has Powerlift™ motors with a 600-lb. total lifting capacity. The Whisper Quiet motors on the S-Cape Performance have a maximum lifting capacity of 700 lbs.

The remotes look different. The S-Cape Performance Model remote is shaped to stand up on the nightstand. It has an emergency power-down feature to lower the bed to the flat position slowly in case of a power outage. It also has a press-and-hold feature for lowering the bed in an emergency. While the Classic model has one programmable position, the Performance model has two. Both remotes are backlit to make it easier to use in the dark or dim light.

The bed itself looks different. The white upholstery fabric cover of the S-Cape Classic is replaced by S-Cape Performance's gray patterned material. This more neutral tone is compatible with more color schemes.

Both models come in the same sizes. King and California King are split sizes (two Twin XL mattresses make one King), and Queen has a split option. If the consumer wants to operate a split model as one, a sync cable will allow both sides to operate in unison.

The S-Cape Performance Adjustable Base carries a 20-Year Limited Warranty from Leggett and Platt. This is a staged 1-3-20 warranty. The first year is fully covered. Years 2 and 3 are limited. The remaining years are limited and prorated. This model is compatible with most innerspring mattresses, memory foam mattresses, latex mattresses, hybrids and airbeds. It is available through authorized Leggett & Platt dealers.
