| Nature’s Rest is in the business of producing natural mattresses and beds. All of their beds use at least some natural materials, and they strive to use all natural components. The beds are broken into two main categories – the Nature Zone and the Progeny series. The Nature Zone firm mattress is the one we will look at for now, featuring a soy-based core foam for support and patented Body Curve topper to achieve maximum comfort. The Body Curve topper, sometimes incorporated directly into the top of the bed and sometimes added as a pillowtop layer, is a patented design featuring an interlocking arrangement of 2 types of foams.e 2 types of foam are staggered in thickness to provide a softer feel under the hips and shoulders. Below the Body Curve topper on the mattress is the support layer. The Nature Zone features an organic foam core, using soy based products as a renewable resource. The use of the soy based foams is not found elsewhere in foam mattresses, with the greatest majority of foam beds using a polyurethane-based foam. Others use a latex core. Another feature of the Natures Rest sleep set is the foundation. According to the manufacturer, each foundation is manufactured with a more consistent surface area to reduce ridges and sag. The Natures Rest firm mattress in the Nature Zone category is a little evasive when shopping online. One of the key points to remember is that if it has a latex core, it is a Progeny series, and if not it is a Nature Zone series. A typical starting point for Nature Zone firm mattresses would be about $1400, and pillowtop/euro-top models may be slightly more. Included in the price is the Natures Rest 20 year limited warranty. The entire warranty covers the full replacement value of the mattress if needed. |
