| The Sealy Posturepedic Preferred series Eaglewood Plush is likely to be the first entry level mattress from Sealy with broad appeal. Even with the Posturepedic name, the Eaglewood Firm and Bryant Park may be too firm for many. The Plush Eaglewood doubles the amount of comfort foam near the top compared to its firm sibling, and adds 1 inch over the Bryant Park. The Eaglewood Plush is a little more than the sum of its parts. Sealy Posturepedic has reached a great balance between cost and functionality with this bed. You have all of the features of its cheaper predecessors, but you move into a comfort range a little above the lower cost mattresses. This is thanks to 2 different layers of foam, each 0.75 inches thick, and the X3 SuperSoft inlay, zoned to provide more hip support. You also get the PostureTech Coil spring network, which tailors resistance to the amount of pressure your body puts on it. Of course, you still have the UniCase edge support to provide a firmer seating area too. The price of the Eaglewood Plush from Sealy Posturepedic is in the middle of the second range: You can expect to find this set in a queen size with the foundation at around $750.00. The foundation you may consider with this mattress would be the Shock Abzzorber Plus Ltd. box spring, which is firm and supportive but will allow some extra flex in the mattress for added comfort. |
