Starting with the initial feel you can expect from the NxG memory foam upper layers, you should expect a semi-firm feel overall and an even support from head to toe. Using a total of 2.5 inches of high quality NxG memory foam on top of 1.5 inches polyurethane comfort foam, the Beautyrest NxG 250 Plush from Sealy should have a middle-of-the-road plush feel: Not too soft, but not too firm. This is used with the Super Pocketed coil spring setup to help you rest comfortable, even if your partner moves while you are asleep. Also as a standard feature on the NxG models, you get the 3 inch Encased Edge support system to prevent the "downslope" effect you might feel near the edge of the mattress on lesser models. You will also feel the firmer seating area from this feature. The Simmons Beautyrest NxG 250 Plush moves up the comfort level a notch over the 100 series and the 250 firm model by using a softer overall 4 inches of NxG memory foam and plush foam to provide a softer initial feel than its predecessors. All of Simmons best innovation goes to make this mattress a winner in most aspects, but it may still seem a little pricey compared to other models available with a similar overall feel. |
