| The Spring Air Four Seasons lineup is a slightly higher class of beds than the other Back Supporter models. Among other features, the Four Seasons beds feature a zoned spring network and some or all will Cashmere quilted directly into the cover for added comfort. The zoned spring system features not only slightly stiffer coils throughout the middle of the bed, but also a slightly larger diameter steel used to make the spring. This should help to provide a little extra longevity from the springs which do the most work in the mattress. The Four Seasons line of beds form Spring Air, including the ultra firm models, would typically be sold as a set with a zoned wood foundation. Usually the foundation is matched to the bed, in order to provide the support and durability which was intended by the manufacturer. The set is more of a system, so the zoned foundation is what was intended by Spring Air for use with the Four Seasons ultra firm models. The Four Seasons by Spring Air uses multiple layers of firm foam near the surface of the bed. The quilted cashmere cover with ComfortFlex foam provides some initial softness, but as you might expect when shopping for an ultra firm bed, there will not be very much give throught the mattress. The comfort layers are isolated to the top of the mattress, followed by dense foam to separate you from the spring network. Spring Air offers a 10 year warranty on this design, for which the base ultra firm models will start just below $1000 and go up as features are added. |
