The ultra firm Luxury set from Stearns and Foster is a very firm bed. You will see several inches of firm foam on top of the individually pocketed coil springs, so you should feel very firmly supported, but you won’t get the impression of sleeping on the floor. Stearns and Foster has incorporated designer fabrics, such as silk and wool, into the tufted smooth cover, and when you add the multiple layers of foam, you should not detect the spring base of the mattress at all. One of the layers of foam in the Luxury mattress set is a VRT layer (Variable Response Technology). This gives you a slightly firmer foam throughout the middle of the mattress for additional hip and low back support. The quality materials and Foam Encasement edge support system provide details which would suggest that the Stearns and Foster Princes Street Luxury bed would be a great investment. The complexity of the design indicates that this would not be a budget or entry level model. The queen size should start below $1500, and euro-top or pillowtop options will certainly add to the price. |
