| The Healing Company, online at Healco.com, produces the Dream Series memory foam mattress. The Dream Series features two airflow layers, one in the memory foam layer and one in the base foam layer. The memory foam layer uses the HRC memory foam, which is channeled, and is intended to create a breathable system to help reduce heat held in the memory foam. The base foam layer is convoluted on the top which should allow air to escape the sides of the mattress. These systems are designed to work together to reduce the heat stored inside of the foam. The cover of the Dream Series from the Healing Company is a bamboo cover which is infused with aloe and then quilted with a material called Loft-Endure. The manufacturer states the Loft-Endure foam will help retain the quilted covers resiliency. Like the Inspiration model from the Healing Company, the Dream Series uses 3 inches of 4lb memory foam above an 8 inch base foam layer. This should create a plush to ultra-plush feel both initially and overall. The Healing Company warrants that their beds will be free from manufacturers’ defects for a period of 20 years. The first 10 years are based on the retail value of the mattress while the remaining time is pro-rated. The cost of the queen set at the manufacturers website is about $1000.00, including delivery. The Healing Company has a unique heat dissipation method, but other mattresses exist with similar capabilities. Even compared to designs from other manufacturers, the price seems reasonable. |
