We considered at least six major brands (Air-Pedic, Amerisleep, Personal Comfort, Innovax, Saatva and Sleep Number to name a few.) We were torn between the air-pedic and the Night Air. We dismissed the others due to their TWO chamber technology. Picture a balloon, what happens when you squeeze the middle? The air is displaced elsewhere. The same holds true for the two chamber units as you can ONLY set the comfort level at ONE number per side. The Air-Pedic and Night Air each have SIX chambers, you set your head and feet to one comfort level and your torso, where the majority of your weight is, at a separate one. This is FAR, FAR superior to the two chamber systems. So why did we choose the Night Air? First, given my background, I couldn't resist "digging into" the details. I found that the difference between the U6660, U6670 and even the U6680 models was the amount and type of "comfort foam" and/or "heat dissipation foam" used. We ordered the U6660 AS WELL AS TWO DIFFERENT FOAMS THROUGH AMAZON AT $54 AND $62 RESPECTIVELY. This equated to the same as the U6680 model. Amazon also had this model on sale for $1951. This priced the Night Air unit more than $2400 LESS than the Air-Pedic. I'm retired and $2400 represents a decent amount to us. the Night Air ordering was easy. Shipping was prompt. Packaging was sturdy. Assembly instructions WERE CLEAR, CONCISE AND EASY TO FOLLOW. Setup was simple. Hand controls are well lit, display is clear and easy to read and the functions are well marked. It took us over a week (and we are still "experimenting") to get the settings where we "think" we want them. The hand controls have a "MEMORY" function so it's easy to return to where you were if you don't like the setting you just changed. The "processor" surprised us with how quickly it resets to a new setting and, for an air pump, how quiet it operates. After the initial fill (took about 2 1/2 minutes) it has never run for more than two or three seconds and then usually because WE are the ones changing settings. BOTTOM LINE...We are VERY happy with this unit and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
Mattress Rating: Adjustable Bed NoiseI'm a retired quality Assurance Engineer (40 years in manufacturing) Every component of this bed appears to be excellent. All seams are vulcanized, not glued. The various "foams" are all high density and solid
Adjustable Bed Features and Benefits as Advertised:This unit performs EXACTLY as advertised. The "complaint" listed must have been from someone with an axe to grind as the ONLY issue I can creatively grope about is that the cover, although it IS washable, as Boyd claims, requires you practically dismantle the bed to get it off. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY MINOR ISSUE.
Quality:Top-of-the-line in all respects. See additional comments
