Craftmatic Model II
Craftmatic calls its Model II "Our Most Popular Bed." Since this company sells all their product over the phone and not through regular retailers, this statement is hard to verify. They also call this model "a great choice for anyone on a limited budget." This statement also is hard to verify since Craftmatic does not list their prices: the customer has to call to select and order an adjustable bed, and the price is negotiated.

The Craftmatic II Adjustable Bed Systems, like the Craftmatic I, are complete beds, adjustable frame plus mattress. The standard sizes available are Twin, Full, Queen and Dual King. Each of these sizes has length options.

The adjustable base of the Model II uses Hubbell motors with a lifting capacity of 450 lbs. According to Craftmatic, over 1,001 positions, combinations of head and foot elevations, can be selected. The company did not list the maximum elevation of the head or of the feet.


Range of Positions

This model is controlled by a wired hand-held remote. Available options include heat and a full body wave massage.

Each Craftmatic II Adjustable Bed includes an 8" high innerspring mattress with a 252 coil count. The wire gauge of the coils is not disclosed. There is a choice of 5 comfort options: Dual Plush/Firm, Luxury Firm, Plush Soft, Euro Top and the non-innerspring Memory Foam. How these differ is the content and construction of the comfort layers:

Craftmatic lists the warranties on the Model II adjustable beds as follows:
Position changing mechanism: Limited lifetime (motors, gears, controls, electrical).
Adjustable frame: 15 years limited prorated.
Mattress: 15 years limited prorated.
