The Spree

Customatic Adjustable Bedz calls The Spree "our most contemporary design that combines function & modern fashion with an advanced Hi-Tech frame that ergonomically responds to your body’s natural shape," an "Ultra Modern Foundation Design." To tell the truth, looking at a photo of The Spree, my reaction was, "That's different!" With the bed in a reclined lounge position, it does not look like a bed. Other Customatic models with a lounge feature are The Lounger, The Triflex, The Priva, The Sectional-5 and The Sectional-6.

The deck of The Spree has eight cushioning pads, which not only add extra cushioning to the mattress, but soften the angular bends of the deck into curves. It appears that in twin size this adjustable bed could be used as a powered recliner without armrests. (Is this a suggestion for a new optional accessory, armrests?)

The benefits touted by Customatic for The Spree, as for most of their adjustable beds, are fingertip customization and personalization, enhancement of each sleep experience, improved performance of mattresses, shape and size adjustment, and positions for your preferred support and comfort levels.

Not only positions. The Spree also has a therapeutic massage. This is a dual massage, with separate controls for each side of a queen-size or larger bed. With two zones, the massage can be variably configured for individual needs.

Without its own outer frame, the undercarriage of The Spree has "spider legs" to provide stability and balance. This means even when the foot of the bed is lowered into a chaise lounge configuration.

Most Customatic adjustable bed models, including The Spree, have the Wall-Glider feature. When the head is raised, the deck moves toward the head of the bed to keep the user lined up with the nightstand. No reaching backwards for something on the table top.

For those who want a headboard with their adjustable base, The Spree comes with adjustable headboard brackets. Also available is a Room Glow night light. Placed under the bed, the soft LED-emitted light illuminates the floor so the user can navigate in the dark when getting out of bed and returning.

The positions and the massage are controlled with a hand-held wireless remote. The Sof-Touch keys are backlit for night-time use. It has three pre-set positions and a one-touch Flat button. Head and foot can be raised and lowered separately. There are more buttons for the massage. Head and foot can be massaged separately.

The Spree carries Customatic's 20-year limited warranty.
