At the time of this writing, The Visionary is the latest model of adjustable beds released by Customatic Beds. two other concepts of adjustable beds were shown on Customatic's Products page last year, but The Visonary is the only one to go into production.
The Visionary is similar to the next latest model, The DreamStar. The most obvious difference is that The Visionary has the Lounge position with the foot of the bed dropping down.
Both DreamStar and Visionary have Customatic's featured Edge to Edge Lumbar Support System, Rather than lifting a portion of the middle section under the lumbar, the whole lumbar section is lifted. The advantage of this is that the sleeper does not have to be in the exact middle of the bed to experience the benefit of this feature. This may appear to be harsh in a photo of the adjustable base itself, but one must bear in mind that there is a mattress on top when in use, and the shift is not as abrupt at the top surface of the mattress.
Like The DreamStar, The Visionary has a deck-on-deck design. The articulated deck sits on top of the frame in the flat position. The half of the frame from the middle to the foot of the bed can be angled down. This lets the deck angle down, too, to lower the feet for the lounger effect. One feature The Visionary does not have that The DreamStar does is the "Wall-Glide Design. This is probably because of the deck-on-deck lounger feature.
The Visionary has other up-to-date features, such as a dual body massage, an operating system that is WiFi and Bluetooth capable, AC and USB outlets, under-the-bed night light, and Bluetooth speakers. It also has more prosaic features, including gravity release, Custom Clips mattress retainer, battery backup, and adjustable headboard brackets.
The bed and the massage are controlled by a hand-held wireless remote. However, it can be operated from a mobile device via WiFi or Bluetooth. This is quickly becoming the standard for adjustable beds.
The Visionary is available in the following sizes: Twin XL, Full XL, Queen, Dual Queen, Dual King, Dual Cal King. It is covered by a 20 year limited warranty (1-3-20).
