Dormeo Infinity Base

Dormeo Octaspring sells two adjustable beds for their foam spring mattresses. The simpler and less expensive model is the Infinity Base, which is compatible for all Dormeo mattresses.

The Infinity Base, which is made in the United States, would be good enough an adjustable foundation for most people. It has a 600-lb. lifting capacity, including the mattress. The heaviest Queen size Dormeo mattresses weigh 97 lbs. This means that the Infinity could handle two sleepers with an average weight of 250 lbs. each.

The Infinity has a wall-saving feature, which means that as the head of the bed rises, it remains even with the bedside table or nightstand. This is called "wall-saving" since the mechanism was first developed for reclining chairs so they did not hit the wall behind when they were extended.

Both the head and foot of the Infinity can be articulated, together or separately, so the bed can suitable for reading, eating and using a laptop as well as for sleeping.

The hand-held remote control is wired, but is is also programmable, a feature often reserved for wireless remotes by other manufacturers. It has a clip to hold it in place when not being held. Being wired does have the advantage of not being misplaced; it's always with the bed. A backup battery lets the remote be used to lower the bed (by gravity) if the power goes out.

The Infinity is sized right and light enough without the mattress to be put into a standard bed frame. The leg heights are variable so it can be vertically adjusted. The upholstery gives the bed a furniture appearance, compatible with most bedroom decors.

The Infinity Base is covered by Dormeo Octaspring's 1-2-20 warranty.
