Flex-A-Bed Value-Flex
Value-Flex is one of three models of
adjustable beds made by
Flex-A-Bed. Listed specifications for
Value-Flex, like those for
Hi-Low and
Premier, are standard ones for this model. Since each adjustable bed is made to order, the specifications are those of the customer.
A
Value-Flex adjustable bed may be purchased without a mattress, made to fit the customer's bed, but most are sold with a mattress. This is usually an innerspring model (Traditional or Deluxe), but memory foam and latex options are also available.
Options begin with the
Value-Flex frame. The standard frame has a 300-lbs. weight capacity, but a heavy-duty reinforcement frame's capacity is 400 lbs. The bed can be lowered two inches by removing the locking casters, but it can also be raised by leg extensions, with lengths from 2 to 7 inches available in 1-inch increments. Additionally, half-rails can be attached to the bed. Brackets are available for attaching a headboard.
The foundation for the
Value-Flex is 4" high. The base is made of
AdvanTech Engineered Wood. It should not squeak or break or warp.
The
Value-Flex is powered by whisper-quiet motors made by Lanak. Head and foot sections can be controlled independently. The wired remote control has one-touch functions.
The default mattress for the
Value-Flex is the
Deluxe Innerspring with foam comfort padding. The mattress and the frame come in a choice of lengths: 74", 80" (standard), or 84". Available sizes are Twin, Full, Queen, Dual Queen, and Dual King. The higher model
Premier has more sizes, but the
Value-Flex is more affordable.
The
Flex-A-Bed Value-Flex has a 5-year warranty with full coverage the first year.
Value-Flex adjustable beds are available through several retailers. Several of these are dealers of supplies and equipment for home health care.
