D-122 Adjustable Base
Leggett & Platt calls its Designer Series D-122 "a best-seller." It is the lowest end of the L&P Designer Series, but has a 700 lb. lifting capacity, making it an attractive combination of heft and price. This is in addition to its other features, such as color and texture choices, 3-speed full-body massage, digital wireless remote, and Wallhugger® engineering.
This line of Leggett & Platt Adjustable Bases is called the
Designer Series because the the choices offered of fabric, color, and the style of the base. This range of options even includes a matching upholstered headboard covered by the same fabric as the base sideboad. The original standard color of Buff (optional Brown, Gray or Chocolate) in microsuede, with upgrades of fabric (100% polyester or synthetic leather) and color (Ivory, Brown Sugar, Dolphin) available on special orders.
The built-in, full-body dual massage of the Leggett & Platt Designer D-122 Adjustable Base is "continuously variable." One massage motor focuses on the upper body, the other on the legs. Together they utilize "wave technology," the center of the massage migrating from the head to the feet and back again in a wave-like pattern. The wireless remote allows the user to fine-tune the massage experience.
The digital wireless remote for the Leggett & Platt Designer D-122 Adjustable Base, which has the LP Connect electronics platform, is easy-to-use with its LCD screen, backlighting, intuitive controls, and programmability. Leggett & Platt says, "It's way easier to use than your TV remote." When you find the combinations of settings that fits you best, you can save . The remote also has a power down feature for emergencies.
The Leggett & Platt Designer D-122 Adjustable Base features Wallhugger® technology, which Leggett & Platt claims to have developed. Wall-hugging, commonly found in recliners and now in most adjustable beds, allows the bed to be raised and lowered without intruding on neighboring walls and furnishings. More than this, as the head rises, it slides back, keeping you within reach of the nightstand. What this means is that the user can place a nightstand right next to the bed.
The motors of the Leggett & Platt Designer D-122 Adjustable Base are very quiet, yet powerful, being able to lift 700 pounds per side.
Some consumers will want to know the differences between Leggett & Platt's D-122 and C-122. They both have a full range of positions, both head and foot, and a one-touch "Flat" button. Both have motors with 700-lbs. lifting capacity and have dual massage. Both models have microsuede coverings with four color options. And they both have a 1-3-25 warranty. But there are several differences: Features D-122 has and C-122 does not are Wallhugger engineering, 2 programmable memory positions plus programmable "zero gravity," and the LP Sense safety feature. The D-122 remote is wireless and has a backlit display; the C-122 remote is wired to the base and does not have a backlit display.
