Just as the Premier Furniture Style Adjustable Base is an updated and renamed version of the P-232, the Premier Foundation Style is the new version of the P-132. The new names describe the appearance of these adjustable bed models and how they are used. The Furniture Style is a deck-on-deck design made to look like furniture. In the flat position, it looks like an ordinary bed. The Foundation Style is a deck-on-frame design with the legs far enough in that it can be inserted into a standard bed frame with the slats removed.
Other than the frame style, these two models have the same features. These include the wireless Bluetooth remote, a full range of positions with head tilt, a full-body massage, LPConnect and LPSense, underbed lighting, USB/AC device ports, and Wallhugger. All of these are billed as bringing comfort and convenience to the user, leading to restful sleep.
LPConnect extends control of the adjustable bed itself to the atmosphere of the room. Lights can turned on and off or dimmed. Music can be played. Heat, air conditioning and fans can be operated. Electrical and electronic functions of the room are adjusted by the user from the bed.
If the user has an Apple or Android smart phone or tablet, they can download an app for controlling their Premier Foundation Style bed.
The positions of the Premier Foundation Style bed range from sitting up to watch a video or use a laptop to any of several sleeping positions. Among the combinations are Zero Gravity and anti-snoring. Added to these positions is a head section with a Pillow-Tilt which supports the head for sitting activities and lets it recline for rest.
While the upper body section of the bed is rising, Leggett & Platt's Wallhugger feature slides the deck back. This keeps the head next to the nightstand so the user can still reach the TV remote, book, cell phone, or anything else set down there.
Safety has been considered in the design of the Premier Foundation Style adjustable base. One key safety feature is LPSense. This "safety sensing" detects objects, people and pets in the way when the bed is changing positions and stops the bed. This is more critical when lowering the deck, since a hand or a cat could be easily caught between the deck and the frame.
Another safety feature is the under-bed night light. It can be turned on when a sleeper gets out of bed in the dark so they can find their way safely.
Electronic devices can be plugged in to charge in the USB/AC ports on either side of the bed.
Like the Premier Furniture Style, the Foundation Style also has a full body massage. It can be operated as either pulse or wave in a range of intensity and speed.
The quiet motors can lift 700 lbs.
The Premier Foundation Style Adjustable Base is available at several retailers across the country. While other retailers are still listing the Premier Series P-132, they will replace it with the Foundation Style when that sells out.
Leggett & Platt covers the Premier Foundation Style with a 1-3-25 limited manufacturers warranty.
