The new Premier Furniture Style adjustable bed of the Premium Models by Leggett & Platt is essentially an updated and re-named version of the P-232 of the Premier Series. It carries over features of the former model.
The design of the Premier Furniture Style adjustable base is advertised as featuring luxury & comfort, convenience, safety, and versatility. Major features are the Bluetooth wireless remote, apps for both Android and Apple devices, LP Connect, LP Sense, Pillow-Tilt, full-body massage, AC and USB ports, under-the-bed lighting, and Wallhugger. Of course, the primary objective of this bed is getting a good night's sleep.
The Premier Furniture Style bed is powered by two quiet motors with a 700-lb. lifting capacity. Up to its limits, it has a full range of positions. This includes not only the upper and lower body, but also a tiltable head pillow segment. This means that the user can adjust between sleeping and waking activities.
A feature borrowed from recliners is the wall-saver, called Wallhugger by Leggett & Platt. In the recliner, the seat moves forward as the back lowers, keeping the back of the chair from hitting the wall behind it. In an adjustable bed the middle slides back as the head is raised, keeping it next to the nightstand or bedside table.
Controls for the Premier Furniture Style are Bluetooth capable. The wireless remote is low energy. Besides the remote, it can be operated with the user's own tablet or smart phone having a downloadable app. Several positions can be remembered by the remote to find and use again.
Beside controlling the bed and the massage, the remote and apps change room settings, such as lighting, fans, sound systems, etc. This is done through LP Connect, a feature which links the controls to the room's electrically operated functions.
The built-in full-body massage has both wave and pulse modes. The intensity and speed can be controlled.
Other amenities include underbed lighting and charging ports. The night light beneath the frame of the bed illuminates the floor when the sleeper leaves or comes to the bed in a dark room. This can be synchronized with an alarm feature. This enhances safety. AC and USB ports allow the user to charge electronic devices, even while using them.
A key safety feature is LP Sense. It can detect when someone or something (such as a pet) is in the way of the bed's movement and stop the motion.
Already available through several retailers, the Premier Furniture Style Adjustable Base is covered by a 1-3-25 manufacturers limited warranty, the same as for the P-232.
