The Pro-Motion Performance Adjustable Base in the new Leggett & Platt collection Performance Model Adjustable Bases is an upgrade of the Pro-Motion Adjustable Base, which is now in L&P's Classic Collection. Like the Pro-Motion Classic, the Pro-Motion Performance offers lifestyle choices in available positions, ranging from sitting up to lying flat to elevating only the feet, including all those in between.
The advertised new feature of this adjustable bed is the upholstery. The cover fabric is a patterned gray, a more neutral tone than the previous stark white, making it fit in with most color schemes of rooms and linens.
The two models have Whisper Quiet motors. The older ones had a lifting capacity of 450 pounds, while the newer ones are "ultra quiet" and can lift up to 550 pounds.
Both models have wired remotes. The new one has three toggle switches on a slant for raising/lowering the head, the foot or both. It does not have programmable settings. For returning to the flat position, the user just holds the BOTH button in the down position until the bed is flat.
The Pro-Motion Classic had variable leg heights. The Pro-Motion Performance comes with 7" legs. Headboard bracket kits are available for the Pro-Motion.
The available sizes for both models are Twin, Twin XL, Full, Full XL, Queen, Split Queen, Split King, and Split California King. For the split sizes a Y-tandem sync cable is available. The Pro-Motion Performance is compatible with most memory foam, latex, innerspring and airbed mattresses.
The Pro-Motion Performance Adjustable Base comes with Leggett & Platt's 20-year (1-3-20) warranty: 1 year full coverage, 2nd-3rd years limited, 4th-20th years limited and prorated. For availability, check with a Leggett & Platt authorized dealer.
