The new Rize Contemporary II adjustable bed is is like the earlier Rize Contemporary is very obvious ways. It has a modular deck design with five sections, a variation of the Sectional-5 by Customatic, the maker of Mantua Rize adjustable bases.
The two models share the same wireless remote control. Both have full-lounge position, where the foot of the bed descends almost to floor level, as in a chaise lounge. Both have a dual body massage, an under-the-bed night light, a backup battery, and Wall-Glide design.
There are distinctions, though. The Contemprary II adds an AC power outlet on each side of the bed. This allows the user(s) to plug in devices for operation and/or charging.
Another distinction is in the head module. In the C-II, it appears to be proportioned a little differently. Also, there is a slight gap between it and the next module. This makes the head rest separately adjustable. Customatic is designing head sections to be more customizable in their new models.
The earlier Rize Contemporary has a retainer bar at the foot of the bed to hold the mattress in place. The Contemporary II has Custom Clips near the corners at both the head and the foot of the bed. These are designed to make it easier to change sheets on the mattress.
An added function in the Contemporary II is the Anti-Snore feature. This adjusts the angle of the head until snoring stops.
At the time of this writing, the Contemporary II is the most widely available of the three new Rize models. It is available in seven sizes: Twin, Twin XL Full, Full XL, Queen, Split Queen and Split California King. Two TXL beds can be linked to make a Split King. In the split sizes, the two sides can be synched to operate as one bed.
The Contemporary II adjustable bed is covered by a 20-Year Premium Limited Warranty. Parts are fully covered for the first three years. Year 1 also includes labor. Coverage for the remaining 17 years is pro-rated.
