Premier Series P-232
The higher model of the new
Premier Series adjustable beds by
Leggett & Platt is the
P-232. It is very similar to the
P-132, but with enhanced features.
What sets the
Premier Series apart are the elctronic features, beginning with the 7" touchscreen tablet control module. This tablet connects with controls for bedroom settings, using
LP Connect. If the user has a device using Apple iOS or Android platforms, an app for that device can be obtained. The user can program the tablet or app for a number of scenes, turning on/off or adjusting functions such as lights, temperature and air circulation. For instance, music can wake you up or greet you when you come home.
The tablet is primarily the control for the
P-232 itself. The under-the-bed lighting can be scheduled, dimmed, etc. Bed positions can be selected and fine-tuned, and a preferred position can be saved. It also has a "one-touch-flat" function. The position control also includes
Pillow Tilt, precision adjustment to tilt the pillow for better head and neck support.
One comforting feature of the
P-232 is the full-body massage. It can be programmed for either wave or pulse configuration.
The
P-232 also has
LP Sense, with occupancy and safety sensing. The
P-232 senses when someone gets in or out of bed. It also senses when someone is in bed. It can adjust the positions accordingly as programmed. It also senses when someone, something, or a pet is in the way and stop the movement of the bed. This includes knowing when a joint is being obstructed, thus preventing pinching. Among safety features is
Child-Lockout.
Like other
Leggett & Platt adjustable beds, the
P-232 is engineered with
Wallhugger technology. When the head of the bed is raised or lowered, the user stays in the same horizontal position relative to the nightstand. Everything needed is still within reach. Also, the
P-232 can be placed next to a wall or other furniture without interference.
The motors on the
Leggett & Platt P-232 adjustable bed can lift up to 700 pounds.
The 2-piece frame of the
P-232 adjustable bed by
Leggett & Platt is made to have a furniture appearance. It is upholstered with a choice of five colors. These are Dolphin, Chocolate, Brown Sugar, Ivory and Black.
The
Leggett & Platt P-232 adjustable bed has a 1-3-25 Limited Warranty. It is fully covered the first year, including labor. In the second and third years the warranty is limited to replacing covered parts. From the fourth through the 25th years, the warranty is limited to "steel and mechanical" parts; electronics and drive motors are excluded.
The
Leggett and Platt Premier Series, including the
P-232, is scheduled to be available in retail stores Spring 2014.
