Sleep-Ezz Leisure Bed

Leisure adjustable beds are made by Med-Lift through its Sleep-Ezz division and are sold under the Sleep-Ezz brand. It is the most widely distributed adjustable bed line from this company, which now has two specialized lines, Acid Reflux Bed and Reading Laptop Bed.

Leisure Beds are available in three series: Economy, Standard, and Heavy Duty. This adjustable bed is usually purchased with a mattress, but can be bought alone. It is available in Twin, Full, Queen, Split Queen and Split King sizes.

The Standard weight capacity for the Leisure Bed is 375 lbs, and Deluxe is 600 lbs. The frames are made of cold-rolled steel, and they have a lifetime warranty. The 1" x 3" tubular steel frames are made of 14 gauge steel, and pivot gussets are 12 gauge. Heavy-duty casters are standard equipment. The bed is powered by heavy-duty Linak motors.

The hand-held Leisure Bed remote control is wired in the Economy series. Standard and Heavy Duty have the option of wireless. Electronic components feature plug-in circuit board modules, making replacement and upgrading quick and easy.

If the Sleep-Ezz Leisure Bed is put into a standard bed frame, optional height adjusters are available in 2", 4" and 6" modules. Also available are headboard brackets. A new optional feature is Headboard Hugger; the base glides toward the headboard as it is raised, keeping the user next to the nightstand (or in a split model next to the other sleeper).

Several mattress options are available for the Leisure Bed. Med-Lift/Sleep-Ezz provides both innerspring and specialty mattresses with a variety of features, designed to work with Leisure Bed. Comfort layers include memory foam, latex and gel foams with various levels of softness.

One important feature is the optional Ultra-Ezz III Miracle Motion massage. According to Med-Lift, this is not vibration, but a massage. They did not exactly describe it, but another [mattress] manufacturer has a massage in some of its models that kneads the body of the sleeper.

As stated above, the steel frame of the Sleep-Ezz Leisure Bed has a lifetime warranty. The motors, electronics and other non-frame items have a 5-year warranty on parts and labor. However, the bed must be shipped to the manufacturer for service. Sleep-Ezz beds are sold only through Med-Lift authorized dealers. There are over 6,000 authorized dealers across the United States and Canada.
