Sleep Number Flex Fit 1
Select Comfort, better known as
Sleep Number, has revised its
Flex Fit and
Flex Fit Plus adjustable beds. The new models, introduced in 2014, are
Flex Fit 1,
Flex Fit 2, and
Flex Fit 3. All three
Flex Fit Adjustable Bases fit into standard bed frames.
Flex Fit 1 is the simplest of these three models. It raises the head only, while the other two models raise both head and foot. This can be an adjustment to the sleeping position, or one can sit up for reading & writing, using a tablet, or watching TV. The motor and frame can lift up to 600 lbs. Raising and lowering only the head makes the remote simpler to use and the price lower than the other two models.
In
King and
California King sizes, this adjustable
foundation is available as a split model, able to fit
FlexTop King and
FlexTop California King Sleep Number ">airbed mattresses. The head on each side can be adjusted separately. According to
Sleep Number, this feature "combines adjustability with the feeling of togetherness."
The
Flex Fit 1 Adjustable Base by
Sleep Number has a prorated 25-year limited warranty. This model is available in
Sleep Number Stores and online.
