Sleep Number Flex Fit 3

The Flex Fit 3 is the top model in the Flex Fit Adjustable Bases collection by Sleep Number (Select Comfort) as upgraded in 2014. It has all the features of the Flex Fit 2 plus lighting control and a massage function. Flex Fit 3 also has more powerful motors with a lifting capacity of 700 lbs. The Sleep Number tagline for Flex Fit 3 is "Endless Adjustability for Ultimate Relaxation." The wireless hand-held remotes for Flex Fit foundations control both the adjustable bed and the airbed.

The one feature shared by all these new Flex Fit adjustable beds is the FlexTop Design in King Size. The head sections on the right and on the left are controlled separately, while the rest of the bed is controlled in unison. In this configuration, the bed is paired with Sleep Number's FlexTop King airbed mattress, which is split at the top, but one mattress below that. Select Comfort says this feature combines togetherness with flexibility.

The listed features for the Flex Fit 3 Adjustable Base are: Massage, Light Control, FlexTop Design, Partner Snore, Timer, and Zero G.

Massage - Flex Fit 3 has a full body wave massage. This can also be adjusted separately for the upper and lower body.

Light Control - A soft light under the bed can be turned on as a night light. This makes moving to and from the bed at night safer. Since the light is under the bed, it does not disturb sleep. Also, it can control lamps on the nightstand.

FlexTop Design - Flex Fit 3 can take advantage of the Sleep Number FlexTop King airbed mattress (formerly called X12), This is a King Size mattress split at the head. The right side and left side of the nead can be adjusted separately, so one partner can sit and read while the other sleeps. Also, head positions can be adjusted for individual sleep needs. Unlike the Flex Fit 1, the foot of the mattress can be raised, though in unison.

Partner Snore - When one sleeping partner begins to snore, the other one can adjust the sleeper's head smoothly and quietly to silence the snoring without awaking him or her. Research shows that the position of the head can affect snoring.

Timer - Suppose you don't notice the time while reading or watching a video, but you need to go to sleep by a certain time. Or you fall asleep while viewing or reading. The timer on the Flex Fit 3 Adjustable Base can be set for your scheduled sleep time or adjust the bed to your preferred sleeping position.

Zero G - Zero gravity is the now standard adjustable bed position which raises the head and feet to a position where the curvature is ideal for the spine and the feet are level with the heart. This is for spinal posture and healthy blood circulation.

Available in Sleep Number Stores (located in shopping malls across the country) and online through SleepNumber.com, the Flex Fit 3 is covered by Select Comfort's 25-year prorated warranty.
