TEMPUR Advanced Ergo System Adjustable Base by Tempur-Pedic
The TEMPUR Advanced Ergo System Adjustable Base by Tempur-Pedic is advertised as putting "you in control: a virtually unlimited number of ergonomic rest positions and rejuvenating massage . . . it electronically adjusts to your every whim." The basis for this claim is the range of head and foot positions which is "virtually unlimited." The head can be raised to 70° for use during reading, television viewing, and tablet or laptop use. Then pushing one button can make the mattress return to flat.
The metal-housed electric motor of the TEMPUR Advanced Ergo System is controlled with a wireless remote, which has memory buttons that can save as many as four positions. Picking up or otherwise moving the TEMPUR-Ergo wireless remote activates a backlight, which makes the buttons readable even in the dark. The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) can be upgraded to keep the Advanced Ergo System up-to-date.
Tempur-Pedic promotes the operation of the TEMPUR Advanced Ergo System Adjustable Base as quiet "with strong pulling/pushing power and a long service life." It has a nine-volt battery for back-up power in case of an electrical outage. If there is a power outage or the remote fails, the user can still lower the bed.
The frame, headboard brackets and legs of the TEMPUR Advanced Ergo System Adjustable Base are of heavy-duty construction. Metal parts are powder-coated to protect against rust. The height can be adjusted by using extensions for the legs.
