Supernal Adjustable Bed Systems

The Supernal Recliner Bed System and Supernal Hi-Low Bed System were created by Transfer Master Products, Inc. to bring the functionality and benefits of a hospital bed into the home while keeping the looks of a regular bed. A Supernal Adjustable Bed is a home-use hospital bed fitted out to fit in at home. The electric motors, etc. are hidden from view as in a home adjustable bed. As can be seen in photos, users can attach their choices of headboards to their Supernal Adjustable Beds.

Supernal Hi-Low Supernal Recliner

The user does not have to climb up onto a Supernal Adjustable Bed, because the deck is only 11" off the floor. Beds in the Hi-Low system can be raised to a preferred sleeping height or adjusted to a level for getting into bed from a wheelchair.

The head and the foot of a Supernal adjustable bed can be adjusted with an easy-to-understand backlit wireless remote control. The head and foot of the bed can be adjusted together or separately. A head tilt can be activated to cradle the user's head. As the head rises, the deck moves back to keep the user in line with the nightstand or bedside table.

Range of Positions for Supernal Recliner and Supernal Hi-Low

A Supernal Hi-Low bed is like a Supernal Recliner with the added hi-low mechanism. Ten inches can be added to the height of the bed. This makes it easier to shift from the bed to a wheelchair or lift chair. This is not as high as an in-hospital hi-low bed rises, but it is suitable for most home usage.

The frame and motors of the Supernal Adjustable bed will lift up to 400 pounds, including mattress, user, bedding and any other items on the bed.

The two Supernal "models" are called "systems" first because of the optional widths (38", 53", 60" or 76"), secondly because these are usually sold with mattresses, and thirdly because of the available options of the mattress and the mattress's cover.

Two Transfer Master mattresses are available with a Supernal Adjustable Bed, the Ascent I and the Soft Touch. Ascent I is made of progressively laminated foam (possibly made by Flextech). According to Transfer Master, this is to protect the skin while supporting the sleeper. Border Edge Protection guards the integrity of this mattress.

The Soft Touch Mattress consists of a memory foam core and Border Edge Protection. Memory foam is valued for its conformity to the sleeper's body contours for evenly distributed support and pressure relief.

The cover of the mattress, whether Soft Touch of Ascent I, is either quilted natural bamboo fiber or stretch fabric.

The Supernal Recliner and Supernal Hi-Low can be fitted with a massage function. For many persons, massage is an important part of their therapy. The massage motors can be for either 110 or 220 volts.

Warranty: Transfer Master products, including the Supernal Recliner and Supernal Hi-Low, are warranted for a period of one (1) year. This warranty is for the original purchaser only, and cannot be transferred. Transfer Master products are warrantied against manufacturer defects and workmanship, not for normal wear and tear. Short waranties such as this are normal for equipment manufactured for institutional use.
