For a time, Ortho Mattress products were manufactured in China. But in 2007, the company moved all of its manufacturing to Southern California, returning its mattresses to "Made in America" status. In 2011, the Los Angeles Times inaugurated its Readers' Choice contest. In the Ventura area, the "Best Mattress Store" was Ortho Mattress.

Ortho Mattress has three brands of mattresses, Doctor Preferred, Ortho Avant and Summerhill & Bischop, each with several models. The lineup is:
DOCTOR PREFERRED - Advantage (Eurotop), Dreamer (Firm), Club (Plush), Regency (Firm, Plush, Pillowtop), Capri (Plush Firm, Pillowtop), Conform (Eurotop).
ORTHO AVANT - Tranquility, Cozy, Tradition, Calm Breeze, Harmony, GX (Firm, Plush).
SUMMERHILL & BISCHOP - Pembridge (Firm, Pillowtop), Elgin (Firm, Pillowtop), Norland (Firm, Pillowtop).

Doctor Preferred models are innerspring mattresses, Ortho Avant memory foam, and Summerhill & Bischop nested coil innerspring. In addition to their mattresses, Ortho Mattress also has its own brand of adjustable beds, which have the mattresses included. These are Advantage Eurotop, 6" Visco Memory Foam, Pembridge Pillowtop, and 8.5" Visco Memory Foam. They also supply accessories, such as mattress protectors and pillows.
