Innovative Standards has the Amazing Bed in homes and the Vitality Massage Bed in training rooms, spas and chiropractic clinics. Now they are working on placing the Amazing Bed in hotel rooms. According to Innovative Standards, "The commercial Amazing Bed will be introduced to the Hospitality Industry over the next few years."
They go on to say that the Amazing Bed will give "Resort, Luxury, Casino (and other) Hotels" a competetive advantage over others. A cursory Internet search shows that many hotels and resorts, even some bed & breakfast hosts, offer access to massage solons, fitness rooms, and spas. The real advantage here is that the guests can receive the massage in the privacy of their own rooms by using this massage bed–and without taking extra time for it.
Several hotels already have massage chairs in solons, but who wants to sleep there? One advantage of the Amazing Bed is that the guest can sleep on it. According to Innovative Standards, their massage is quiet with no annoying vibrations to irritate other guests.
The beds look the same as the other beds in the hotel, making this more of an at-home type of experience. The mattress portion of these beds will probably be a memory foam mattress. Predictably, the first people to choose hotel rooms with the Amazing Bed will most likely be those who have it at home, a situation similar to guests in rooms with adjustable beds, many of which also have a massage function. The company is counting on other guests wanting the Amazing Bed for home after experiencing it in a hotel.
Massage is welcome for travelers, who most often have been a bit cramped for hours on end with little opportunity for moving. On its site, Innovative Standards links to a video on The Benefits of Massage.
One advantage of the Amazing Bed for hotels and other hospitality venues is that they do not need to enhance their electric wiring. The Amazing Bed operated on 110 volts. It does not require extra space. It also does not have the fluid hazards of jaccuzis and waterbeds, does not increase the heat load on the facility's air conditioning system, and uses little power.
As with other makers of beds for the hospitality industry, sets of Amazing Beds will be made to the specifications of the corporate customers. Innovative Standards stresses the financial opportunities for hostelries that use their beds.
Hospitality versions of the Amazing Bed, like those for spas and chiropractors, are made to commercial standards for durability. They are expected to carry the same two-year warranty.
