Bassett DreamMaker Firm

The Bassett DreamMaker mattresses and sleep systems are manufactured by Sealy for the premium furniture maker Bassett Furniture. The Bassett firm mattress uses a few innovative features which help to produce a nice firm mattress. Among these features is the Motion Control System individually pocketed coil springs, DreamEncased edge support, and of course a fire resistant cover. The Bassett mattresses are not an entry level brand, but seem well priced for the technology used and features offered.

The Bassett DreamMaker firm series of mattresses offers full side support using the DreamEncased edge support system which is primarily composed of 2.5 inches of high density polyurethane foam. This edge support system helps to less roll-off near the edge of the bed, plus offers a firmer seating area around all four sides of the mattress. This DreamEncased edge support works in conjunction with Motion Control System spring network which uses individually pocketed coil springs set on a fiber base. When you add some firm comfort foam above the spring network and a quilted, fire resistant cover, you should have a sleep system which is both firm and supportive.

The Bassett DreamMaker firm mattress comes with a 10 year warranty which covers manufacturers’ defects other than normal wear-and-tear. A little bit of sag can be expected on almost every mattress, but excessive sag would be covered under the warranty. The Bassett firm mattress is recommended to be used with the SureFlex foundation, which uses a torsion bar spring system specifically designed to enhance the performance of the pocketed coil system in the Bassett firm mattresses.

Bassett no longer offers the DreamMaker collection. They do feature the Bassett Firm, Bassett Plush and Bassett Ultra Plush.
