Beautyrest Black Beyond Molly

Beautyrest Black Beyond by Simmons is a subset of the Beautyrest Black collection. It has three models: Kelyn, Molly and Susan.

This collection, like all current Beautyrest collections, features Simmons' AirCool Memory Foam and AirCool Design. All the AirCool components are engineered and constructed to foster airflow into and through the mattress.

Support for the Beautyrest Black Beyond Molly is provided by Beautyrest® Pocketed Coil® Technology, featuring indvidually wrapped pocket coils. Pocket coils respond independently to a sleeper's weight, conforming support to the shape of the body. They also dampen motion transfer so one sleeper's movements do not disturb another, which is why pocket coils are used by so many mattress manufacturers. The Molly has 800 of these coils.

The comfort level of the Beautyrest Black Beyond Molly is Plush. Above the pocket coil innerspring is a layer of Independent Support Technology Foam. This is intended to mimic the support of the coils with conforming support for spinal alignment and pressure relief.

Above the support foam are layers of Advanced AirCool Memory Foam, Plush/Firm Comfort Foam and GelTouch foam. The GelTouch is right at the top so the gel can cool the sleeping surface. The plush/firm Comfort Foam is to provide a balance beween support and cushioning. And the AirCool MF promotes ventilation for coolness and freshness.

The one-sided, no flip Molly is available through several retailers. It carries a 25-year limited warranty, with the first 15 years non-prorated. The recommended foundations are the Triton European Foundation, a wood slat base with steel braces and a "power beam" providing support across the center. This comes in two heights, 9" Standard and 5.5" Low Profiile. The Beautyrest Black Beyond Molly is also adjustable compatible, especially with the Beautyrest NuFlex adjustable base.

At the time of this writing, the Black Beyond series is still too new to have enough reviews for a fair evaluation.
