Beautyrest Black Sidney

Sidney is a 17" high Ultra Plush mattress, making it the highest and plushest current model in the second tier of the Beautyrest Black collection from Simmons. The least high model is Hope.

Support of the Beautyrest Black Sidney relies on the Advanced Pocketed Coil® Technology, an innerspring array of individually wrapped coils. These coils respond independently, conforming to body contours and eliminating motion transfer.

Dynamic Response™ Memory Foam was developed in Itay and is made in the U.S. for Simmons Beautyrest. It complements the pocketed coils in supporting the sleepers.

Among the foams used in second tier Beautyrest Black mattresses is memory foam infused with diamond dust. This Micro Diamond™ Infused AirCool® Memory Foam is cooled by the heat transferring properties of the diamond dust. The open-cell structure of the foam allows air to ciculate for further cooling.

Other features contribute to the cooling of this mattress, such as Tencel fibers in the quilted cover, GelTouch® Foam with cooling gel, and the AirCool® BeautyEdge® ventilated foam encasement which allows air to flow through the mattress.

The Ultra Plush comfort rating is attributed to the memory foams, a Comfort Response Latex layer and a microcoil layer. The Comfort Response adds resiliency to the conformity. The microcoils are conforming, but also cooling as air easily passes through.

The recommended base is the Beautyrest Triton European wood slat foundation, available in 9" standard and 5" low profile heights (for such a high mattress the low profile foundation is better). The Sidney is also compatible with adjustable beds, such as the Renew and Renew+ power bases.

The Beautyrest Black Sidney comes with Simmons' 25 Year Limited Warranty. The first 15 years are non-prorated, while the last 10 are prorated. This model is availble through several retailers, local to national, both online and in stores.
