The
Beautyrest Recharge Hybrid 12-inch Valley Plush Mattress (a.k.a.
Green Lake Plush) is a medium comfort model with a comfort rating of 5. It is the middle model of the second tier of mattresses in the
Beautyrest Recharge Hybrid Collection. It differs from the
12.5" Luxury Firm Mattress in having two comfort layers instead of three: it does not have the
Dynamic Response Memory Foam. The
12-inch Valley has a thicker
AirCool memory foam comfort layer than the
11.5" Luxury Firm Mattress.
The
12-inch Valley Plush mattress shares with the other models in the
Beautyrest Recharge Hybrid Collection the
Evenloft Quilt Design with the
cotton-
polyester cover fabric and
AirCool memory foam quilting layer.
About 9" of the 12" mattress height is the support unit of 1,000-count 15½-gauge pocket
coils. Also known as
Marshall coils, they conform to body contours and weight to relieve pressure and dampen motion transfer.
Edge support for the
12-Inch Valley Plush is provided by the ventilated
AirCool BeautyEdge foam encasement. The 3" thick rails are perforated for cooling and freshness.
The two comfort layers of the
12-inch Valley Plush/
Green Lake Plush mattress by
Simmons Beautyrest are 1½" of
AirCool memory foam and ½" of
AirCool Memory Foam infused with
Micro GelTouch.
Recommended
foundations are the
Triton Foundation (a
platform, though some retailers call it a box spring) and an
adjustable bed, the
NuFlex Adjustable Foundation.
