Beautyrest TruEnergy Noelle (Brielle)

The Noelle, a model in the Beautyrest TruEnergy collection by Simmons is called Brielle by some retailers. Its comfort level is listed as Plush Firm (3.5 on a scale of 5). It features Simmons' Evenloft Design, AirCool memory foam with GelTouch, Variform pocketed coils, and ventilated AirCool BeautyEdge foam encasement with QuantumLock. Calling it "cutting-edge technology," Beautyrest claims this is a prime combination of support and comfort.

Support for the Noelle is borne by the 900 count Variform coils. These individually wrapped pocket coils are alternating, meaning they alternate between right-hand and left-hand turning. This makes the innerspring more stable, because the tendency of a coil to lean or twist one way is countered by the next coil. Being pocket coils, they respond independently to conform to body contours, providing even support and relieving pressure points.

Edge support for the pocket coils and the sleeping surface of the TruEnergy Noelle is provided by the AirCool BeautyEdge foam encasement. This is perimeter support for the coils. The QuantumLock gives enough firmness to the edge of the sleeping surface to make it 100% usable. And the foam encasement is also part of the AirCool Design cooling system for this mattress. It is ventilated to maximize air flow. This flow of air is also encouraged by the mesh border.

The comfort section of the Noelle mattress consists of three foam layers. These are AirCool memory foam with GelTouch (1"), memory foam (1.5"), and Luxury Firm Comfort Foam (1"). The memory foams are conforming, working with the pocket coils to reduce pressure points and to eliminate motion transfer. Since memory foam builds up heat, GelTouch is added to the foam in the top layer. The Luxury Firm Comfort Foam is firmer than the foams above it to provide more support and to keep the memory foams from "bottoming out."

The Noelle's cover is Simmons' Evenloft Design. This is unquilted stretch knit, not quilted or tufted (prior versions were quilted). Fire blocking fibers are included in the fabric, meeting federal fire safety standards. Being unquilted allows the user to experience the benefits of the GelTouch.

Choices for a foundation are the Beautyrest Triton Foundation and the NuFlex Adjustable Foundation. The Noelle/Brielle has a 120-day trial period and a 25-year limited warranty. It is sold by several retailers, both in stores and online.
