Blossom, a 9" memory foam mattress, is the lowest of three Blissful Nights mattresses listed by the company as "available online." Its signal features are Air Luxe Fabric, the Wedge Edge, an Air Channel Base, and Bamboo Charcoal Memory Foam. Blissful Nights claims that it balances comfort and support.
Air Luxe Fabric is used by South Bay International (the parent company of Blissful Nights) in the quilted cover to keep the memory foam mattress cool by its breathability. This cover is removable and washable.
Blossom has two layers of memory foam. The 4-lb. 1" top layer is infused with charcoal, bamboo charcoal to be specific. The charcoal particles are intended to wick moisture and conduct heat away from the surface to control the temperature without compromising the pressure relief properties of memory foam.
The 2" second layer is 3-lb. memory foam. South Bay formulates and processes its memory foam in the factory it owns in China.
The two memory foam layers are encased by the Wedge Edge. This is a 3" x 3" extra firm foam rail with a triangular cross-section. Its function is edge support for the sleeping surface. The edges of the foams are cut to fit the wedge. Being firmer, it holds the softer foams in, making them more supportive.
Under the memory foams is the 6" polyurethane foam support core. The top surface of this support foam has a grid of channel cuts. This is the Air Channel Base. The cuts allow air to flow through the interior of the mattress for cooling. The bottom of the core has relief cuts where the mattress will bend if on an adjustable bed, making it more compatible.
The Blossom is available in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and California King sizes. It is listed on Wayfair, Olejo Stores and Amazon. South Bay/Blissful Nights covers the Blossom with a 20-year warranty. The retailers have trial periods.
