The Jasmine is a memory foam mattress made by South Bay International and sold in stores under the Blissful Nights brand. Though a memory foam mattress, it also is part latex mattress, like the Violet. At 12" high, it is 1" higher than the 11" Violet.
According to South Bay, all foams in the Jasmine are certified by CertiPur-US as free from several harmful substances (phthalates, ozone depleters, mercury, lead or other heavy metals, PBDE's, fomaldehyde, VOCs).
The support core of the Jasmine is a 6" very firm polyurethane foam base. The top is cut into a grid of air channels for interior cooling and freshness, an important consideration for memory foam beds.
This works together with Breeze Mesh Border Fabric side panels in the cover. The top of the cover is zippered to be removable and washable. The fabric is not specified.
The Jasmine has three comfort layers. The top two are memory foam. The 1" upper memory foam layer is infused with gel to enhance pressure relief. Gel also contributes to cooling.
The second layer is 4-lb. memory foam. At 3" it is an inch higher than the same layer in the Violet. This layer makes the mattress plusher and adds to the pressure relief. Around the memory foam is the Wedge Edge foam encasement. This is edge support for the sleeping surface.
Beneath the memory foam is a 2" of natural latex. The resiliency of the latex transitions support from the base to the memory foam.
The bottom of the support core has relief cuts where the mattress bends to make it more compatible with an adjustable bed, such as the Blissful Nights Adjustable Base (which is the same as the Sleep Science Motion Trend Adjustable Base). Other foundations the Jasmine is compatible with are platform beds and solid top divans and box bases. Old type box springs are not recommended.
The Blissful Nights Jasmine is covered by a 20-year warranty from South Bay International.
