The series of innerspring mattresses by Classic Brands is the Classic Mattress Innerspring Hybrid Collection. One of the five models currently listed by Classic Brands on its website is not a hybrid, but is listed in this collection because it is an innerspring mattress.
The five models in the Innerspring Hybrid Collection are Gramercy 14", Mercer 12", Decker 10.5", Engage 11", and Advantage 8". All the models have support cores of individually wrapped pocket coils with a coil count of 768. These are 6" high in Engage and Decker, and 8" in the others. Pocket coils are used because of their conformity with pressure relief and motion isolation. One chief advantage of an innerspring mattress is the airflow and cooling through the open spaces.
Four of the hybrid models have gel-infused memory foam. One (Decker) does not have gel in its memory foam. Another, Advantage, has only the 8" coils and quilting. Three of the models (Gramercy, Mercer, Decker) are eurotop and pillowtop mattresses.
Gramercy and Mercer each have 7 foam layers. In Gramercy, three of the layers are in the euro top. The middle layer in the topper is gel memory foam. A second gel foam layer is the first beneath the euro top. Other foams are varying weights of polyurethane foam. Six inches overall of foam added to the 8" coils brings the mattress to 14" high.
Mercer has a half inch of gel memory foam in the top layer in the pillowtop. This is followed by three layers of polyurethane comfort foam, a fabric liner, and another comfort foam layer, 4" of foam to complete the 12" height.
Decker is only 10.5" high, and has 6" coils topped with 4½" of foams with memory foam at the top.
Engage has three layers of foam atop its 6" coils. The top 1" layer under the thick quilting is gel-infused memory foam. Following are 2" and 1½" of other foams.
Advantage is the simplest mattress in this collection, with just the coils and the quilting. These are 13-gauge coils, the middle of the range of most mattress coil gauges. The quilting is enough to provide some cushioning to mask the feel of individual coils.
Classic Innerspring Hybrid mattresses are available online though several retailers, including Wayfair, Amazon and Walmart. These innerspring mattresses are compressed to as little as one third of their height for shipping. At the destination, the smaller profile makes it easier to navigate stairs, hallways and doors.
