ComforPedic Renewed Energy
Renewed Energy is a model in the
ComforPedic collection of
Beautyrest mattresses made by
Simmons.
The signature feature of
ComforPedic mattresses is
Simmons'
AirCool® Memory Foam.
ComforPedic combines this with
GelTouch and
TruTemp™ Technology. First,
AirCool is open-cell memory foam designed to permit air flow for cooling. The open-cell configuration also enhances memory foam's comformability and support.
GelTouch is gel infusion for cooling, drawing heat away from the sleeping surface for dissipation.
TruTemp, however, is another kind of gel. Micro-encapsulated beads of this gel absorb excess heat and store it for later release if needed to maitain a steady temperature range.
AirCool® Memory Foam also supplies edge support for the
ComforPedic mattresses. This foam encasement is vented horzontally to allow air to flow through. Additionally, the
ComforPedic AirCool technology includes a mesh fabric for the border.
Renewed Energy features 1 inch of
AirCool with
GelTouch and
TruTemp in the quilted cover where they should be most effective in temperature control. The jersey knit fabric enhances the breathability.
The primary comfort core of the
ComforPedic Renewed Energy is
ComforPedic. This open-cell memory foam is designed to conform itself to body contours to provide relief from pressure points while still allowing the sleeper to move freely.
Most of the support in the
ComforPedic Renewed Energy is provided by a foam core formed by the
Transflexion® process, which pre-stresses the foam. This is to put the firmness of the foam at the level the customer will be using after buying the mattress.
Simmons uses what it calls
Independent Support Technology™ in the design of the
Renewed Energy mattress to promote healthy posture for sleepers. They describe this as "dual action," combining conformability and back support. They do this by the way they shape the layers.
The foundations which
Simmons Beautyrest supplies for the
ComforPedic Renewed Energy are the
Triton Foundation and the
NuFlex adjustable base. This
Triton version is designed for memory foam mattresses, and it is available in standard height or low profile.
The
ComforPedic Renewed Energy by
Simmons Beautyrest carries a 25-year warranty. It is widely available, both in stores and online. Several retailers say that it is made to order.
