Comfort Deluxe Dual 12

The Comfort Deluxe Dual 12 memory foam mattress by Magniflex, the Italian mattress manufacturer, replaces the Duoform XM 12 Mattress in a redesign of Magniflex mattresses.

Like the Magnifico Dual 12, this is a dual core model. The Dual Core support core has two back-to-back layers of high density Magniform foam. Unlike the Magnifico, the two support foam layers are different heights: 3" of firmer Elioform and 8½" of not-as-firm Eliosoft. The user can change the firmness level of the mattress (or one side of a two-person size) by unzipping the cover and flipping the support core.

The firmer side of the Dual Core has a 1" layer of Magniflex Memofoam. This is an open-cell memory foam with a high recovery rate. It is designed to conform to the sleeper's body for pressure relief and spinal support while adapting quickly enough to changes in position to allow the user to move easily.

The cover of the Magniflex Comfort Deluxe Dual 12 combines silky viscose (rayon) and temperature-controlling Outlast fabrics. Silver threads are woven into the viscose fabric to prevent static and inhibit growth of bacteria and molds. These fabrics are quilted to 1" of Memoform.

Beneath the quilted cover is a fill of super soft fiber for extra cushioning.

The recommended foundations for the Comfort Deluxe Dual 12 are wood slats or platform beds, since these give the full support needed by a foam mattress. Adjustable beds were not mentioned on the manufacturer's or retailers' sites, so if you prefer this option, first ask if it is allowed under the warranty.

Magniflex covers the Comfort Deluxe Dual 12 with a 20-year manufacturers warranty, though some retailers list the warranty period as 12 years. This model is available through several retailers in North America.
