Elite S is the
U11 Solstice in the
Ultimate Series in the
2015 Comfortaire Collection.
Dual Adjustablility
The air pressure on each side of the
Elite S can be adjusted separately to give individualized comfort to two sleepers. This recognizes that fact that different prople have different needs and preferences, no matter how close they are.
Whisperflo 7200
The
Whisperflo 7200 is a dual-diaphragm air pump. This means that it operates more quietly than older models. It has a greater inflation capacity than the
Whisperflo 4200, able to inflate the air chambers to a greater firmness level.
Interchangeable Components
When a part of a
Comfortaire airbed fails or wears out, it can be replaced without having to replace the entire mattress. This means that a
Comfortaire air bed can have a longer usable lifetime than other beds which do not have this feature. It also means a certain amount of upgrading of the airbed
mattress is possible.
Edge-to-Edge Air
The newer urethane film air chambers have a lower profile than the older
cotton-latex chambers. This makes it possible to place them higher in the mattress. Also, it allows them to be located throughout the whole length and width of the air bed to provide adjustable
Edge-
to-
Edge Air support. A 2" support pad underlies the air support layer.
Plant-Based Foams
All
foams used in
Comfortaire adjustable air bed mattresses use plant-based oils as much as is practical. This reduces the use of petroleum-based products.
Evellafoam
Evellafoam is a fusion of
memory foam with synthetic
latex. This combines the benefits of memory foam's conformability and latex's resilience and durability.
Evellafoam is scented with green tea extract for freshness. It is also hypoallergenic. It is used in the comfort layer to relieve pressure points and provide proper spinal support.
The
Elite S is available in either flat-top or split-top versions. In the split-top, the heads can be elevated separately, using a manual adjustable
foundation or a powered
adjustable bed, such as the
Shipshape made by
Leggett & Platt for
Comfortaire.
The
Elite S comes with
Comfortaire's 25-year (4/25) warranty. The first four years are non-prorated.
