The Genesis Series is one of three new series in the 2015 Collection by Comfortaire, the oldest manufacturer of adjustable air beds. "Genesis" means "beginning," and Genesis is the entry level series in the new lineup. The other series are the Nouvelle Series and the Ultimate Series.
Original Air Technology™ is the signature feature for the Genesis Series. Comfortaire developed the technology for adjustable air support in 1981. After 33 years of innovation, Comfortaire's basic technology is still used in air beds today.
It is in the air support that the Genesis Series differs from the other two. First, Genesis does not have Edge-To-Edge™ Air, but Nouvelle and Ultimate do. The Genesis air chambers are 6" high and made of latex permeated cotton, while the other two have 2" chambers made of urethane film. There are other features not shared by the Genesis Series with the Nouvelle and Ultimate series.
The Genesis Series has three air bed models: G10 Essence, G12 Sonata, and G12 Horizons. For each of the 2015 Comfortaire air bed models, the number in the model name is the height of the mattress in inches. The models differ in the foam comfort and support layers, cover fabric, height of the foam perimeter support, and power of the air pumps, but they each have fully adjustable air and a 2/25 limited warranty.
This is by far the most comfortable mattress I have ever had in my life! First of all, It's fully adjustable comfort. That means that you decide how much air you want in it, and how firm you want it to be. The motion isolation is also a huge benefit. This means that when my partner shifts or gets up during the night, I don't wake up because I don't feel/hear it. It provides me with such plush comfort that one would come to expect from such a great brand. Ever since purchasing this mattress, I have gotten deeper, more revitalizing sleep that makes me feel much more refreshed in the morning. Five stars all the way, highly recommend!
