ComfortAire GS300
The ComfortAire GS series of adjustable air beds starts out with the GS.300 bed. The GS.300 features a tack and jump quilted cover with 1.25 inches of convoluted foam quilted into the cover. Just below this you have a zoned comfort foam layer which is a low density foam. Then there is the adjustable air chamber surrounded by foam. The foam surround both contains the air chambers and provides edge stiffness to sit on the bed and reduce roll.
As with all adjustable air beds reviewed on Beds.org, the ComfortAire GS.300 is rated with the air chamber fully inflated. This will give you an impression about what to expect initially. As you soften the pressure in the air chambers, the feel of the bed should become more plush. With very little comfort foam near the top of the mattress, you should expect an ultra firm overall feel. The initial feel should fall on the borderline between firm and ultra firm.
The air control unit on the GS.300 by ComfortAire is the AC3200, which is an ac powered (plug into wall) pump. This is the quickest pump offered, but makes more noise than other units. This unit is sufficient to pump the single core in the twin XL or the dual cores in the full, queen, and king models fairly quickly. The dual air chambers allow you to adjust each side of the bed independently so your partner could have a firm surface while you have a plush side, or vice versa.
The GS.300 by ComfortAire features the ability to adjust the amount of air in the chamber, and therefore adjust the overall firmness of the bed. You get a 20 year warranty on the adjustable air bed, with 4 yours covered at full replacement cost and the remaining time covered being pro-rated. There is a 1 year warranty on the top pad at full replacement value. The manufacturers suggested cost for a queen set with foundation would be about $1800.00.
