ComfortAire GS500

The ComfortAire GS.500 is an overall firm mattress due to only a limited amount of soft foam near the top of the adjustable air chambers. The quilted cover has about 1.5 inches of very soft foam quilted into a euro-top design, which zippers onto the body of the mattress directly above the air chambers. The air chambers themselves are a latex rubber design covered with a cotton fabric. The twin XL size uses a single chamber air core while the full, queen and king sizes use 2 chambers. There is a perimeter border around the air chambers which acts to decrease roll-off near the edge of the bed, increase the firmness where you would sit, and of course contain the air cores.

The air controller used on the GS.500 adjustable air mattress from ComfortAire is the IFC2001 which is a remote controlled unit with a memory feature. This will allow you to program your desired firmness and store it for recall later. There is also a one-touch-full button to inflate the adjustable air chamber to maximum capacity quickly. This unit is quieter than the AC3200 model, but will take a little longer to fully fill the air chambers.

The ComfortAire GS.500 includes a 20 year warranty. The top removable pad is warranted for only 1 year at full replacement value. The prorated period, beginning in year 5 of the warranty period, leaves you responsible for 20% of the value of the mattress plus 4% for each year of ownership.
